Irvine, Calif. - 28 UC Irvine student-athletes have earned 2008 Spring Academic All-Big West Conference honors.

A total of 175 student-athletes from nine member institutions were recognized from the spring sports of baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track & field and softball.

To be eligible for the All-Academic team, student-athletes have to maintain a 3.2 cumulative grade point average, have attained a sophomore standing academically and competed in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.

Women's Golf: Mariko Makabe

Men's Tennis: Victor Lamm, Zac Tsai

Women's Tennis: Inna Agababian, Ali Borowicz, Jessica Broadfoot

Men's Track & Field: Kelley Hall, Ryan Hershey, Sky Johnston, Nick Mosey, Eric Nyberg, Greg Thompson, Rusty Whisman

Women's Track & Field: Lauren Chramosta, Samantha Costantini, Tracy Dantema, Kristi Fryer, Elaine Gillespie, Amber Gordon, Erinn Kim, Fritzie Mercado, Sara Mickelson, Candice Proctor, Jamie Schwab, Stephanie Sconberg, Jessica Vaughan, Sharitie Williams, Lauren Wilson.
