23 UC Irvine Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-Big West Accolades

IRVINE, Calif. --- A total of 23 UC Irvine student-athletes have earned 2009 Academic All-Big West Conference honors for spring sports.
A total of 196 student-athletes from nine member institutions were recognized from the winter sports of men's and women's tennis, baseball, men's & women's track & field, men's & women's golf, women's water polo and softball.
To be eligible for the All-Academic team, student-athletes have to maintain a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average, have attained a sophomore standing academically and competed in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.

Baseball: Jeff Cusick, Matt Dufour, Francis Larson
Men's Tennis: Khunpol Issara, Zac Tsai, Gautam Vaidyanathan
Women's Tennis: Ali Borowicz, Miranda Young
Men's Track & Field: Kelley Hall, Ryan Hershey
Women's Track & Field: Lauren Collins, Kristi Fryer, Madeline Leduc, Jenny Lee, Fritzie Mercado, Vanessa Vaughan, Natasha Wardley, Sharitie Williams, Lauren Wilson
Women's Water Polo: Cortney Collyer, Lauren Davis, Sarah Frost, Janee Walsh
