METHODS OF GIVING
Cash Donations
Annual gifts paid by check and/or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express) can be made restricted to a sport or unrestricted into the Athletic general fund. These donations can be paid in full, or on a monthly or quarterly basis.
Matching Gifts
Many companies match their employees? gifts to UC Irvine. Donors are credited for the value of their contribution plus that of their company. Be sure to check with your personnel office about gift-matching opportunities.
Planned Gifts
Some supporters choose to leave their legacy at UCI Athletics through bequest gifts such as their will, estate, life insurance, charitable remainder or lead trusts. UCI Athletics would be happy to meet with you and your financial advisor to discuss the tax benefits.
Stock and Property
Gifts of appreciated stock and real property are accepted and may make the donor eligible for tax savings.
Gifts-in-Kind
Donated services and items (meals, hotels, printing, travel, etc.) that would normally be purchased by UCI athletics are considered gifts-in-kind.
Endowments
Endowed gifts provide ongoing benefits for UCI Athletics and help build a solid base of support. Donors can endow an entire scholarship or contribute to the programs overall endowment.
Tax Deductions
All gifts to UCI Athletics are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law. The deductibility of your gift may be affected by any benefits you receive. As with any charitable gifts, please consult with your financial advisor to determine your deduction.
