Student Labs
Stemming from UCI's reputation as a renowned technological institution, the UC Irvine Athletics Department boasts a unique state-of-the-art Student-Athlete Computer Lab made available exclusively to UCI athletes.
The air-conditioned facility provides students with brand-new furniture, sixteen individual computer workstations, with new flat-screen monitors. Each computer offers innovative programs, which include Microsoft Windows XP and Office. A laser printer and USB hookups are also available to student athletes.
The computer lab is conveniently located adjacent to Crawford Hall on the UC Irvine campus. Walking into the lab, students will find a relaxed atmosphere that allows them to complete homework projects, email, and web research in an environment designed to provide student-athletes with the utmost quality in educational surroundings.
Even though the student-athlete lab is a luxury service that has been adopted by only a few elite universities across the country, UCI athletic officials have made it a priority to constantly upgrade its facility to provide their athletes with the most recent software programs and amenities to insure that the athlete is supplied with top-notch services.
The lab is supervised by the Student Services Team which includes Dedra Butler, Assistant Athletic Director of Academic & Student Affairs and Academic Sport Supervisors, Jessica Crow and Chris Hatch. The lab is open for service Monday thru Friday 9 AM-5 PM.
