Mission
The purpose of the UC Irvine Athletic Association Board of Directors is to provide an enjoyable means to increase financial and community support for UC Irvine Intercollegiate Athletics through advocacy, marketing, and camaraderie and to become the foremost athletic fund raising organization in the Big West Conference. Directors serve as ambassadors and liaisons of the Athletics program to the greater community and campus constituencies. This purpose is undertaken in order to provide UCI with the resources necessary to allow for: 1) broad based athletic success; 2) exceptional success in sports that help change the way UCI is viewed and supported; 3) the opportunity to actively compete for conference and national championships in all sports; 4) and the personal development of UCI student-athletes by providing a quality athletic and academic experience.
