Newport Beach, Calif. -- The UC Irvine sailing team finished second at the Sloop Pacific Coast Championships in Newport Harbor.

 

The Anteaters, who were skippered by Brian Hoover with crew Frank O’Brien and Jack Porter, finished second with 18 points.

 

USC won the 2008 Dick Sweet Sloop Series with 17 points and qualified for the ICSA Sloop Nationals.
