UC Irvine Sailing Teams Heading To Nationals

Irvine, Calif. -- The UC Irvine women’s sailing team finished third at the Pacific Coast College Sailing Conference Dinghy PCCs and qualified for the national championships.

With a top three finish, the Anteaters advance to the ICSA Women's Dinghy Nationals May 25-27 at the St. Francis Yacht Club. The Anteaters last participated in the women’s national in 2007.

Skipper Ashley Simpson & crew Martha Davis in the A Division and skippers Blair Johnston and Danielle Richards with crew Monica Orphan competed in the B Division for UCI.

The co-ed team qualified for the Team Racing Nationals which will be held May, 29-31 at Treasure Island. The last time the Anteaters qualified for team racing was 1995.
