Irvine, Calif. -- Former All-American sailor Nick Scandone will have a send off party for the 2008 Paralympic Games on August 21 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Balboa Yacht Club.

The event will be held outdoors on the flag deck. All are welcome.

Scandone will be participating in the SKUD class of the sailing competition with partner in Maureen McKinnon-Tucker.

UC Irvine head sailing coach Mike Pinckney will travel with Scandone to Beijing as an assistant coach.
