Qingdao, China -- Former UC Irvine All-American Nick Scandone has clinched a gold medal in the SKUD-18 class at the Paralympics with two races remaining.

 

Friday, Scandone and crew Maureen McKinnon-Tucker won two more races to move nine-points ahead of their competitors.

 

Scandone and McKinnon-Tucker plan to race tomorrow, even though they have already secured the gold medals.
