UC Irvine Sailing Moves To Camps Recreation

Irvine, Calif. -- The UC Irvine sailing team, formerly an intercollegiate sport, has moved under the umbrella of Campus Recreation.

“Sailing at UCI is alive and well,” head coach Mike Pinckney said. “Most schools we compete against operate under this model so there will really be no change for us as far as level of competition.”

The UC Irvine sailing program has won seven national championships and produced 17 All-Americans.

Frank O'Brien will serve as the team captain.
