IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's and women's swimming & diving teams each defeated Cal State Northridge Friday afternoon at Anteater Aquatics Complex. The men won 146-85 while the women's team defeated CSUN 166.5-63.5.

The Anteater men had the top performance in 12 of the 13 events held.  Senior Eddie Erazo won both the 100 fly (51.35) and the 100 back (49.17). Sophomore Chris Rosales had the best times in both the 200 IM (1:56.63) and the 100 breast (57.23). Freshman diver Miles Smith won both the one-meter (248.26) and the three-meter (335.10) diving competitions.

On the women's side, UCI had top times in 12 of the 13 events in the meet. Senior Chelsea Nagata won both the 100 fly (55.29) and the 100 back (59.77). Senior Rian Wise won both the 50 free (24.66) and the 100 free (53.05). Senior diver Jackie Jones won both the one-meter (257.11) and three-meter (277.88) diving competitions. Sophomore Lyndsay DePaul won both the 200 IM (2:04.16) and the 500 free (4:53.21).


 

 

The Anteaters next will host UC Davis Saturday in their final regular season meet at 2:00 p.m. at Anteater Aquatics Complex.
