Anteater Men, Women in Third Place at Big West Championships

The Anteater men have 221 points behind UCSB in first with 349 and UC Davis in second with 303. The women have 207 points total and are behind UCSB in first with 317 points and Pacific in second with 216 points. Sophomore Lyndsay DePaul won the 500 free with a meet record and UCI record time of 4:48.93. The 400 medley relay team of senior Chelsea Nagata, Lyndsay DePaul, freshman Chelsea Greene and senior Tanya Nielsen broke the UCI record with a second place finishing time of 3:45.13. Freshman Ann Tsuchiya took third in the 500 free with a time of 4:57.66. Senior Chelsea Nagata took fifth in the 50 free with a time of 23.55. Sophomore Amy Lim had the top UCI finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:12.66 for 20th place.
On the men's side, freshman Miles Smith won the one-meter diving competition with his score of 289.50. Eric Nugent and Patrick Nugent placed second and third respectively with 222.3 points for Eric and 220.6 points for Patrick. Freshman Raymond Yan was fourth with a score of 215.50. Junior Will Wollam took fourth in the 50 free with a time of 20.34. Freshman Garrett Thompson took 12th in the 500 free with his time of 4:37.60. Freshman Dustin Luchini had UCI's top finish in the 200 IM with his time of 1:58.74 good for 22nd place. The Big West Championships will continue Friday with prelims starting at |
