Randall Tom, Melanie Grosvenor Named Big West Athletes of the Week

IRVINE, Calif. - Senior Randall Tom (Wailuku, Hawaii/Seabury Hall) and junior Melanie Grosvenor (Mission Viejo HS) were each named Big West Athlete of the Week Wednesday.

Randall Tom won both the 200 fly (1:49.69) and 100 fly (48.24). He also swam the 200 medley relay leadoff (23.07) and the 200 free relay anchor (19.91) of the winning relay teams.

This is Tom's second Big West honor this season and his seventh career honor.

Melanie Grosvenor won both the three-meter diving (287.15), one-meter (272.35) diving diving competitions with NCAA Zone ‘E’ Diving Regional qualifying marks. Her marks were the third best in school history (one-meter) and fourth best (three-meter).

This is the first career honor for Grosvenor.
