ANTEATERS AT BIG WEST CHAMPIONSHIPS: The UC Irvine men's and women's swimming & diving teams will be at the Big West Championships Wednesday through Saturday at Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool in Long Beach.

Qualifying begins at 10:30 a.m. with the finals set for a 6:00 p.m. start each night. Wednesday will have no qualifying rounds with competition set to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool.

BIG WEST CHAMPIONSHIPS PREVIEW: The Anteater men look to defend their title at the Big West Championships starting Wedneday. UCI has five athletes returning who earned All-Big West honors last season. Senior Eddie Erazo and freshman diver Miles Smith have the top performances in each of their events in the conference thus far this season.

On the women's side, former Big West Athletes of the Year, senior Chelsea Nagata and sophomore Lyndsay DePaul will lead UCI's attempt at winning the conference for the first time since 2005. DePaul has the top time in the Big West in five different events this season.

ON THE ROAD TO THE NCAA'S: The Anteaters have already started their return to the NCAA's

Lyndsay DePaul has already qualified for the NCAA's thanks to NCAA "A" cuts in the 200 fly (1:56.90) and in the 200 IM (2:00.36). DePaul has "B" cut times in the 500 free (4:50.13), the 1650 free (16:45.28) and the 400 IM (4:16.50). Chelsea Nagata has "B" cut times in the 50 free (23.03), 100 back (55.72) and the 100 fly (54.29).

Senior Eddie Erazo has an `A' cut time of 1:44.54 in the 200 fly.
