Chelsea Nagata, Lyndsay DePaul AT CHAMPIONSHIPS: Senior Chelsea Nagata (Kahului, Hawaii/Maui HS) and sophomore Lyndsay DePaul (Villa Park HS) will represent UC Irvine as they compete at the NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio beginning Thursday with prelims starting at 9:00 a.m. PDT and finals at 5:00 p.m. PDT.


NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS PREVIEW: Two-time All-American Chelesa Nagata will compete at the NCAA's for the fourth time and is entered in the 50 free Thursday and 100 fly and 100 back Friday. Lyndsay DePaul is at the NCAA's for the second straight season and is entered in the 500 free Thursday, the 400 IM Friday and the 200 fly Saturday.


WEEK IN REVIEW:
Senior diverJackie Jones (Los Alamitos HS) and freshman diver Miles Smith (Carmichael/Capital Christian HS) competed at the NCAA Zone `E' Diving Regionals over the weekend.


 

 

Jones finished 17th in the three-meter competition with a score of 493.65 and 35th in the one-meter competition with a score of 205.60.

Smith finished 18th in the one-meter competition with a score of 500.65 and 19th in the three-meter competition with a score of 506.90.


ON THE ROAD TO THE NCAA'S:
Senior Eddie Erazo (San Diego/Mt. Carmel HS) has an `A' cut time of 1:43.82 in the 200 fly and `B' cut times in the 100 fly (47.60) and 100 back (47.98) and will compete next week at the NCAA Championships in Federal Way, Wash.
