UC Irvine Performs Well at Ben Brown

WALNUT, Calif. --- The UC Irvine track and field teams turned in several strong performances at Saturday's Ben Brown Invitational held at Mt. San Antonio College. Junior Lauren Chramosta recorded the third-fastest time in UCI history in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a mark of 11:08.7 as she placed fourth in the event. Junior Samantha Costantini finished second in the invitational 1,500 meters with a time of 4:32.78. Junior Sharitie Williams won her section of the 100 meters in 12.39. For the Anteater men, senior Dayne Comrie placed second in the 400 meters with a time of 47.55 while junior Mark Ilarina was second in his heat of the 100 meters in 11.00. Junior Kevin Palmer finished second in his section of the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.81.
