Johnston, Hearst Qualify for NCAA Regional

STANFORD --- UC Irvine juniors Sky Johnston and Tim Hearst posted NCAA regional-qualifying times in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational hosted by Stanford Sunday night.

Johnston ran 9:02.47 and Hearst 9:07.00, which is right on the qualifying mark.

In the women's 5,000 meters, UCI's Candice Proctor had a time of 17:01.01, Laura Olvera 17:07.56 and Sara Mickelson 17:33.41.
