Dayne Comrie Forced to Scratch From 400 Prelims at West RegionalMay 30, 2008
NORTHRIDGE, Calif. --- UC Irvine senior Dayne Comrie was forced to scratch from the 400-meter preliminaries Friday at the NCAA West Regional in Northridge due to an ailing knee. Comrie ends his UCI career ranked No. 3 on the school's all-time list with a time of 46.28 that he ran in winning the Big West Conference 400 title May 17. He is eighth on the Anteater career list in the 200 meters with a time of 21.17, which he also recorded at the Big West meet in finishing third in the final. UCI has four athletes slated to compete in the West Regional at the Matador Track Complex Saturday. Sophomore Matt Lahti competes in the hammer throw at 10:00 a.m., sophomore Alisha Misiaita in the shot put at 4:30 p.m., junior Lauren Chramosta in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase at 5:15 p.m. and senior Sky Johnston in the men's steeplechase at 5:40 p.m. |
