Dayne Comrie Named Big West Track Athlete of Week

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine senior Dayne Comrie has been named the Big West Conference male Track Athlete of the Week following his performance at last Saturday's Ben Brown Invitational. Comrie finished second to two-time Olympian Tyree Washington in the 400 meters with a time of 47.55 in the meet at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut. A redshirt last year, Comrie ranks sixth all-time at UCI with a 400 time of 46.99 recorded in the 2006 season. He is fourth on the Anteater career list in the 400-meter hurdles with a mark of 51.99, which he also ran in 2006.
