Julian Eison Named Big West Athlete of Week

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine senior Julian Eison has been named the Big West Conference Athlete of the Week for men's field events.

Eison won the high jump at the 51st annual Mt. SAC Relays last Friday night with a mark of 7 feet, one-half inch.

That mark tied his lifetime best, which ranks No. 2 in UCI history. Eison is a four-time, NCAA-regional qualifier in the high jump.

UCI track & field student-athletes have earned the Big West weekly award seven times this season.

Eison shared this week's award with Cal Poly decathlete James Nunno.
