Cross Country:
She placed fourth in the 10,000 meters (36:58.00) at the 2008 Big West Conference Track & Field Championships...was UCI's top runner at the 2007 NCAA Cross Country West Regional with a time of 21:08.90 to finish 26th over 6,000 meters...earned '07 all-conference honors in cross country with a 10th-place finish at the Big West Championships...was 16th of 322 runners at the 2007 Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark...she placed sixth at the Stanford Invitational and was fourth at the Anteater Invitational...finished seventh in the 5,000 meters (17:35.38) at the 2007 Big West Conference Track & Field Championships....was fourth in the 3,000 meters at the '07 Big West Challenge Cup....was a redshirt with the cross country program in 2006....just missed all-conference honors with an 11th-place finish (21:47.5) at the 2005 Big West Cross Country Championships won by UCI....placed 15th at the '05 UCI Cross Country Invitational....was 77th at the 2005 NCAA West Regional....finished eighth (17:37.51) in the 5,000 meters at the 2005 Big West Track & Field Championships....earned All-Sunset League and All-Orange County honors at Esperanza High School in 2003....majored in psychology and social behavior and is currently working on her Master's in education....three-time Big West Scholar-Athlete....also named to the Big West Academic All-Conference team for fall sports in 2005 and for spring sports in 2007....parents are Mark and Tina Proctor...formerly Candice Proctor, she is married to former UCSB distance runner Mike Chavez. |
