He finished fourth (1:56.12) in the 800 meters at the 2008 All-UC Track & Field Invitational...placed seventh in his section (1:57.75) of the 800 meters at the Steve Scott Track & Field Invitional...was 25th (27:28) at the 2007 Titan Cross Country Invitational...placed 41st (35:37.7) at the '07 UC San Diego Triton Classic...finished eighth in the 800 meters at the 2007 Big West Conference Track & Field Championships....had his top time of the season (1:53.66) in the prelims....placed sixth in the 800 and eighth in the 1500 meters at the `'07 Big West Challenge Cup....finished fourth in the 800 and seventh in the 1500 at the 2007 Collegiate Track & Field Classic....placed 78th at the '06 UCSD Triton Cross Country Classic....recorded the Anteaters' top time in the 800 meters of 1:52.95 at the 2006 Big West Track & Field Championships in Northridge....that time came in the prelims as he went on to finish seventh (1:53.84) in the finals....finished sixth in the 1,500 meters at the Steve Scott Invitational....had a top 1500 time of 3:55.67 at the Mt. SAC Relays....was third in the 800 at the '06 Big West Challenge Cup....was a redshirt with the UCI cross country program in 2005.... ....was a three-time captain of his cross country and track teams at Los Osos High School.... team MVP twice....earned a total seven varsity letters....was ranked as one of the top-10 800-meter runners in California coming out of high school....majoring in biological sciences....parents are Seleshi Tesfaye and Karen Hughes. |
