LA JOLLA, Calif. --- The UC Irvine women's cross country team finished sixth of 14 teams in the Triton Classic Saturday on the campus of UC San Diego in La Jolla.

UCI's Megan Fairley finished 17th in the field of 126 runners with a time of 23:15.1 over 6,000 meters. Jessica Pixler of Seattle Pacific was the winner in 21:12.3.

The Anteaters' Shelby Pock was 41st in 24:17.2 and Stephanie Sconberg placed 43rd in 24:27.5.

Katie Borum finished 57th (24:56.5Z) and Jessica Vaughan was 71st (25:18..

UCI finished with 231 points while Alaska-Anchorage won the team title with 87.
