Men's Final Stats | Women's Final Stats

STANFORD, Calif. --- The UC Irvine women's cross country team placed 14th and the men's squad was 19th at the NCAA West Regional Saturday at the Stanford University Golf Course.

Washington won the regional title with 25 points, Oregon was second with 62 and Stanford third with 91. UCI finished with 390 points.

Oregon's Alex Kosinski and Nicole Blood placed 1-2 in the 6,000-meter race with respective times of 19:59.01 and 20:01.23.

UCI's Laura Olvera finished 26th (20:46.37) in the 206-runner field, Candice Chavez was 42nd (21:14.98) and Samantha Costantini 98th (22:06.65).

Rounding out UCI's seven runners were Gabriela Santana in 105th place (22:12.65), Lauren Chramosta 126th (22:30.74), Kendall Bruton 139th (22:41.65) and Emily Romo 152nd (23:02.28).

Oregon won the men's title with 38 points, Stanford was second with 72, Portland third with 85 and UCI 19th with 522.

Oregon's Galen Rupp (27:41.24) and Shadrack Kiptoo-Biwott (28:32.31) finished 1-2 in the 10,000-meter race.

The Anteaters' Nick Mosey was 68th in the 174-runner field with a time of 31:11.86, Rusty Whisman finished 99th (32:01.56) and Rex Nelson 116th (32:32.06).

 

 

Danny Kalinowski placed 119th (32:37.43), Sam Hyams was 130th (32:54.92), Victor Bonilla 133rd (32:58.31) and Nick Osborne 142nd (33:07.23).
