Olvera, Mickelson Named to All-West Region Team

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine's Laura Olvera and Sara Mickelson have been named to the All-West Region team selected by the NCAA Division I Cross Country Coaches Association. Olvera, a sophomore, finished third at the NCAA West Regional to advance to the NCAA Championships in Terre Haute, Ind., Monday (Nov. 20). She was second at the Big West Conference Championships in San Luis Obispo Oct. 28. Mickelson, a junior transfer from Loyola Marymount, was third at the Big West meet and 17th at the NCAA West Regional.
