UCI Women's Team Competes at Triton Classic Saturday

UCI WOMEN RUN IN LA JOLLA SATURDAY: UC Irvine will field a women's team in the Triton Classic Saturday (Oct. 11) on the campus of UC San Diego in La Jolla. The 6,000-meter race begins at 10:15 a.m. ANTEATER MEN WIN PEPPERDINE MEET: The UCI men's team won the title of the Pepperdine Invitational in Malibu last Saturday. UCI and Drake each finished with 45 points but the Anteaters received the tie-breaker which is awarded to the team that has a better finish by its No. 6 runner. Fresno State was third with 46 points. Senior Bryan Lopez led the Anteaters with a third-place finish of 25:19.94 over the 8,000-meter course. Sam Hyams was sixth in 25:36.57 and Victor Bonilla ninth in 25:45.47.
