UCI's Fairley, Brierly Honored by Big West

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine junior Megan Fairley and senior Brian Brierly have been named the Big West Conference Athletes of the Week in cross country. Fairley placed 10th of 90 runners at the Titan Invitational last Friday with a time of 18:56 over 5,000 meters at the Cal State Fullerton campus. The Anteaters finished fifth in the team competition. Brierly finished 14th of 62 runners with a time of 26:31 over 8,000 meters. UCI finished second in the invitational.
