UC Irvine Competes at Big West Championships Saturday

Coach Vince O'Boyle's UC Irvine men's and women's cross country teams compete in the 2009 Big West Conference Championships at Riverside Saturday (Oct. 31).
The men's 8,000-meter race starts at 9:00 a.m. and the women's 6,000 meters at 9:45 a.m. on the UCR Agricultural Operations Course.
Of the nine entries each for the UCI men's and women's teams, only three (all men) competed in last year's Big West meet.

DIRECTIONS TO THE COURSE (From Orange County): Take the 91 freeway east to the 60/215 Fwy. (to Indio) South. Take the University Avenue exit and turn right (west) onto University Avenue. Proceed to Iowa Street and turn left (south). Continue to Martin Luther King Street and turn left (east) onto Martin Luther King. Proceed to Canyon Crest Drive and turn right (south). Take Canyon Crest Drive one-half mile to the Agricultural Operations gate.
