IRVINE, Calif. --- The American Baseball Coaches Association released its All-West Region squad with Keston Hiura scoring first team honors.
Hiura is the first Anteater to make the squad since he populated the second team in 2015 as a freshman. A total of seven Big West players make the squad with Hiura going as a DH after he took home Big West Field Player of the Year honors hitting an NCAA-best .422 and topping the on-base percentage leaders nationally at .567.
Hiura has been named to four All-American teams already following Golden Spikes Award semifinalist status and going No. 9 overall in the MLB First Year Player Draft.
