2008: All-Big West first-team choice...5-2 on the season...10th in the nation and topped the pitching staff with a 1.94 ERA...second on club with 24 appearances...also had seven starts...struck out 37 in 60.1 innings...allowed just 13 earned runs...pitched in three combined shutouts...third in the UCI single-season records with a 1.94 ERA...posted a miniscule 0.64 ERA in league action...season-high four strikeouts against Hawaii...longest outing was a seven-inning affair against San Francisco...earned his first win of the season after holding the Dons scoreless while scattering five hits...also held Tulane scoreless for six innings while striking out three and giving up five hits. 2007: Posted a 0-4 record with a 4.98 ERA...made 14 appearances and three starts...logged 21.2 innings...struck out 10...yielded 12 earned runs on 33 hits...walked five...made one start in the postseason...pitched five innings...struck out one and did not allow an earned run...went 1-5 with the Anchorage Bucs over the summer...posted a 2.39 ERA...logged 37.2 innings pitched...struck out 19 while giving up 10 earned runs on 36 hits...helped the Bucs win the Western Association Summer Amateur Baseball Invitational (WASABI).

St. Francis High School: 2006 Mission League Most Valuable Player...All-CIF first-team selection...led the team to the Atascadero Easter Tournament championship in 2006...team was CIF Division II runner-up that same year...went 10-2 on the mound...hurled seven complete games...boasted a 1.54 ERA...gave up 61 hits in 78 innings...struck out 78 and walked just nine batters...allowed 17 earned runs...batted .343 as a senior...played shortstop and third base...totaled 34 hits, four doubles and a pair of triples...drove in 20 runs...all-league choice in 2004, 2005 and 2006...tabbed the Glendale News Press Player of the Year...the Pasadena Star News selected him to the all-area second team as a junior...was named honorable mention as a sophomore...two-time Glendale News Press honors...played with the San Gabriel Valley Arsenal over the summer...pitched for the Anchorage Bucs...0-2 on the mound...pitched 11.1 innings...struck out three.

Personal: Member of the 2005 and 2006 All-Academic team...received the Golden Knight of the Year Award twice...volunteers at the YMCA...parents are Marc and Karen...majoring in Earth and Environmental Sciences.
