Is one of Baseball America's Top 50 college sophomores.

2002: Doubled as a pitcher and an outfielder...made 15 starts...was 5-2 on the season...struck out 70 batters...gave up 91 hits in 84.2 innings...had an ERA of 5.31...started in 26 games as a position player...hit .224 over the season...tallied 11 hits...drove in six...had two doubles and a homerun
