Irvine, Calif. --- Head coach Mike Gillespie was inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame last Friday in Dallas, Texas.

Joining Gillespie were fellow inductees Terry Ayers (former coach at Fenton H.S., Bensenville, IL), Bob Milano (former coach at California) and Jim Stone (former coach at Massachusette-Lowell).

Gillespie, 24th in victories among active Division I coaches, is in his third year at the helm of the UCI program. Voted the 2009 Big West Coach of the Year after leading the Anteaters to their first conference title, Gillespie is 87-33 in two seasons at UCI and boasts an overall record of 850-504-2 in 22 years of DI coaching.
