Men's Basketball:
2007-08: He led UCI with 53 steals and ranked fifth in the Big West with a 1.53 average...averaged 5.4 rebounds per game to rank 10th in the league....started 20 games... pulled down a career-high 12 boards in a win over San Francisco (12/15/07)...added 14 points versus USF for his first UCI double-double....snared 11 rebounds and had a career-high six assists in a loss at South Carolina (12/28/07) ....had 15 points and a career-high five steals in a win over Utah State (11/17/07)...was named Big West Player of the Week following that performance...scored a team-high 17 points in a loss to Nevada (11/13/07). 2006-07: Was a redshirt at UCI. JC: Transferred to UCI after playing two seasons at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton....was named co-MVP in the California community college ranks in 2005-06....was named MVP of the Big 7 Conference and also Northern California Player of the Year....averaged 23 points and 10 rebounds on a 29-7 team for coach Brian Katz....top-scoring game was 38 points against Foothill College....scored 37 points, hitting his first 11 shots, in a win over Shasta in the third round of the Northern California Regional playoffs....Delta won the Big 7 Conference title last season and captured the Bay Valley West Conference championship twice. High School: Prepped at Merrill West High in Tracy....high school coach was Steve Thornton. Personal: Majoring in business economics....earned Big West Scholar-Athlete honors and was named to the Big West Academic All-Conference team for winter sports......he and his wife, Jennifer, were married in the summer of 2008...father is David Stark and his mother is Jane Bland. |
