Men's Basketball:
2007-08: He started 17 games during the season....had 13 points and a career-high five assists in home win over UC Davis (3/6/08)....scored a career-high 16 points in the loss at Cal Poly (2/7/08)....hit a career-high four threes (in eight attempts) in that game....scored 10 points on 3-of-5 shooting in the home win over Cal Poly (1/12/08).... scored 11 points in road loss to Texas A&M (12/22/07), hitting 4 of 7 field goals, including 3 of 5 from three-point range....tied his previous career high with nine points in loss to Chattanooga at the Anaheim Classic (11/23/07). 2006-07: Was named to the 2007 Big West Conference All-Freshman team....started 12 games.... scored a season-high nine points on three occasions, the last coming against Harvard (12/28/06)....snared a career-high seven rebounds in win over Sam Houston State (12/16/06)...had eight points and six rebounds in win over Cal Poly (1/4/07).... scored six points on four occasions, the last coming in win over UC Davis (2/22/07)....recorded season-high four assists in loss at Loyola Marymount (12/9/06)....averaged 4.0 points and 2.2 rebounds for the season. High School: Averaged 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists at Capistrano Valley High School in 2005-06....was a three-time, All-CIF selection....was a two-time All-South Coast League first team member....was South Coast League MVP as a junior....second-team all-county as a junior and senior....was named MVP of the Orange County North/South All-Star Game....was a McDonald's All-America nominee....had a top-scoring game of 37 in high school....ended his prep career as Capo Valley's all-time leading scorer and second in rebounding....prep coach was Brian Mulligan, a former UCI player and son of former Anteater head coach Bill Mulligan. Personal: Majoring in sociology....earned Big West Scholar-Athlete honors in 2007-08...he and wife, Rebecca, have two daughters, Ella and Molly....his parents are Pete and Fran DeCasas. |
