UC Irvine With 3 Dates on Big West Television Package

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine will have three regular-season exposures on the ESPN and Fox Sports Net West platforms as the Big West Conference men's basketball television package was announced Thursday. The Anteaters' home game with UC Davis Saturday, Jan. 17 will have a 1:00 p.m. start time on FSN PRIME TICKET. UCI hosts Cal State Northridge Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 8:00 p.m. on ESPNU and travels to Cal State Fullerton Saturday, Mar. 7 for a 5:00 p.m. tip on FSN WEST. The conference package includes five nationally-televised regular-season games on ESPN2 and ESPNU, and eight regional Saturday games on FSN PRIME TICKET and FSN WEST. Live broadcasts of four games from the 2009 Big West Tournament in March at the Anaheim Convention Center will include the men's two semifinal games Mar. 13 on ESPNU, the men's championship game Mar. 14 at 9:00 p.m. on ESPN2 and the women's final Mar. 14 at 1:00 p.m. on FSN PRIME TICKET. Coach Pat Douglass' squad opens its 2008-09 schedule Nov. 8 with an exhibition game against Cal Poly Pomona at 7:00 p.m. in the Bren Events Center. UCI travels to USC for the regular-season opener Nov. 15 at 1:00 p.m.
