Earned All-Big West Conference first team honors in 2005-06....led UCI with an average of 72.57....recorded three top-10 finishes and five other top-20s....best showing was fifth (209) at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational....low round was 69 on four occasions....finished 11th at the Big West Championships and at the NCAA West Regional....was second at the 2006 SCGA Amateur with a 72-hole score of 5-under 283....finished sixth (216) in stroke play at the California Amateur Championship....placed 23rd in the '06 Pacific Coast Amateur at Olympic Club with a score of 293 over four rounds....was an alternate for the 2005 U.S. Amateur Championship after tying for third in the sectional qualifier in July....finished second in the SCGA Amateur Championship at Tijeras Creek Golf Club this past summer....earned All-Big West Conference second-team honors in his first season with the UC Irvine golf program in 2004-05....was UCI's top performer at the Big West Championships with an eighth-place finish (216) at Tijeras Creek Golf Club....had a 74.11 average through 35 rounds for the season....his low round was 65 in the PING-Arizona Intercollegiate at Arizona National....best finish of the season was third (211) in the Del Walker Intercollegiate at Virginia Country Club in Long Beach....had four top-10 showings and a pair of top-20 finishes....transferred to UCI from College of the Canyons, where he received his A.A. degree with high honors, but did not compete in golf there....played his freshman season at University of the Pacific in 2002-03....lettered with the Tigers and was a Big West Scholar-Athlete....had two top-10 finishes for UCI during the fall season, placing third in the Del Walker Intercollegiate at Virginia Country Club in Long Beach and fourth in The Prestige at the Greg Norman Course at PGA West....finished 20th in the Husky Northwest Invitational at Gold Mountain Olympic Course in Washington....his stroke average during the fall season was 74.00 in five tournaments....was a semifinalist in the 2004 Long Beach City Match Play....was runner-up in 2004 in the Camarillo City Championship.....finished second in the 2003 Santa Barbara County Championship and was third in the Ventura County Championship that same year....tied for fourth and was second alternate in the 2003 U.S. Amateur Qualifying tournament....graduate of Hart High School in Newhall...was the 2001 Los Angeles Times and Daily News Player of the Year....was the Foothill League MVP in 2001 and was runner-up in the CIF state finals that year....has volunteered as a Special Olympics coach.
