Men's Golf:
UC Irvine in 7th Place at Fresno State Lexus Classic
March 8, 2010 Team Results / Individual Results FRESNO, Calif. --- The UC Irvine men's golf team is in seventh place during the second round that was suspended due to darkness at the Fresno State Lexus Classic at San Joaquin Country Club in Fresno. Washington is the team leader in the 16-team field after shooting 363 in the first round and sitting at 4-under in the second round. Pepperdine is in second place at 5-over in the second round after an opening-round of 355 while Michigan is third at 372 (10-over in second round). UCI and California are tied for seventh place after both teams shot 365 in the first round. UCI is 13-over in the second round and Cal is 14-over with a few holes left in the second round. Pepperdine's Andrew Putnam is the individual leader, shooting a 2-under 69 in the first round and he is 3-under in the second round. UCI's John Chin is in 11th place, shooting a 75 in the first round and he is 4-under in the second round. Shaun O'Meara is 31st (71, +4 in second round), Tim Cha is 42nd (74, +2), Mickey Chan is 46th (70, +7), Max Greil is 76th (79, +4) and Bryan Harris is 88th (76, +9), The second round is due to be completed Tuesday morning followed by the third and final round.
