RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif. --- Defending champion UC Irvine is tied with UC Davis for first place after two rounds of the Big West Conference Championships at Tijeras Creek Golf Club. The final round is scheduled for Tuesday.

The Anteaters and Aggies each have 36-hole totals of 571. Pacific is third at 588.

UCI junior Sean Shahi is the individual leader at 6-under 138 after shooting 68-70 Monday.

Sophomore John Chin is in second at 5-under 139 as he fired a 6-under 66 in the afternoon after opening with a 73.

Junior Tim Cha is in fourth place at 143 (70-73). Senior Kenny Kim is 22nd at 151 (75-76) while senior Derek Uyesaka is 39th at 161 (79-82).
