PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. --- UC Irvine is in ninth place following the first day of play Monday in the Saint Mary's College Invitational at Poppy Hills Golf Course.

The Anteaters had a two-round total of 586 as San Francisco (572) leads the 17-team field heading into Tuesday's final round.

Domingo Jojola of USF is the individual leader at 5-under 137 on rounds of 71-66 Monday.

UCI sophomore Bryan Harris is fifth at 1-under 141 (70-71). John Chin is in 29th place at 147 (74-73), Roberto Francioni is 41st at 148 (74-74), Sean Shahi is 59th at 151 (80-71) and Max Greil is in 72nd place at 153 (79-74).
