LONG BEACH, Calif. --- UC Irvine is in second place following the first two rounds Thursday of the Del Walker Intercollegiate at Virginia Country Club in Long Beach.

Colorado State, with four players in the top seven spots, leads the 15-team field with a 36-hole total of 33-under 535. UCI and Texas-San Antonio are tied for second with 12-under scores of 556.

Zahkai Brown of Colorado State is the individual leader with a two-round total of 13-under 129 (66-63).

UCI junior John Chin is second at 10-under 132 (67-65). Senior Sean Shahi (67-74) and freshman Roberto Francioni (67-74) are tied for 15th place at 1-under 141.

Senior Cean Hayashi Geronimo is 35th at 144 (74-70) and freshman Michael Im is 51st at 147 (75-72).

The tournament concludes with the final 18 holes Friday.
