IRVINE, Calif. --- The UC Irvine men's golf team hosts the 30th Anteater Invitational Monday and Tuesday (Feb. 1-2) at Mesa Verde Country Club in Costa Mesa.

Joining UCI in the field are Big West Conference members Cal State Fullerton, UC Riverside, Cal State Northridge, UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly, along with Loyola Marymount, Saint Mary's (Calif.), Santa Clara and Sacramento State.

Thirty-six holes are scheduled for Monday with the final 18 on Tuesday at the par-71, 6,548-yard layout.

Coach Paul Smolinski's lineup includes seniors John Chin and Tim Cha, juniors Max Greil and Bryan Harris, and freshman Michael Yang.

Competing as individuals will be junior Shaun O'Meara, and freshmen Mickey Chan and Jerry He.

Chin led the Anteaters during the fall with a 71.36 average in four tournaments and two top-10 finishes.
