Tim Cha Advances at California Amateur Championship

Irvine, Calif. -- UC Irvine's Tim Cha defeated teammate Bryan Harris, 3 and 2, in the round of 16 at the California Amateur held at the Lakeside Golf Club. Cha advances to battle former Anteater Scott McGihon, who defeated Jordan Nassar 3 and 1 Thursday. Current players Sean Shahi and Cean Geronimo, as well as former players Nick Asbrock and Brian Edick, and incoming freshman Michael Im also competed in the tournament.
