John Chin in 26th Place at U.S. Amateur Public Links

AURORA, Colo. --- John Chin, who will be a junior at UC Irvine in the fall, is in 26th place after shooting an even-par 71 on the first day of stroke play Monday at the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship at Murphy Creek Golf Course in Aurora, Colo. Recent UCI graduate Kenny Kim is in 82nd place following a 4-over 75. Aaron Goldberg is the leader after firing 6-under 65. The top 64 players following Tuesday's second round of stroke play will advance to match play beginning Wednesday.
