DAVIS, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's soccer team (6-4-4, 1-3-2) lost 2-1 to UC Davis Saturday afternoon in Big West Conference play at Aggie Soccer Stadium.

The Aggies took a 1-0 lead as Nicholas Lind headed in a corner kick by Dylan Curtis in the 63rd minute. UCD went up 2-1 in the 73rd minute as Lind found Ian Conklin who outran the defenders and went one on one with freshman keeper Pat Barton. The Anteaters cut the lead to 2-1 in the 80th minute as junior Michael Willrich scored his first goal as an Anteater off an assist from sophomore Kevin Santora.

Keeper Pat Barton had five saves for the 'Eaters. Ryan McCowan had one save for the Aggies.

The Anteaters return to action Wednesday as they host No. 15 UC Santa Barbara at 7:00 p.m. at Anteater Stadium.
