Irving Garcia Selected by Red Bull New York in Major League Soccer SuperDraft

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Irving Garcia (San Luis, Ariz./Yavapai College) was selected by Red Bull New York 50th overall with the second pick in the fourth round of the Major League Soccer SuperDraft in Philadelphia Thursday.
Garcia, the 2009 Big West Offensive Player of the Year, becomes the fifth Anteater to be selected in the SuperDraft and fourth in the past four seasons.
Garcia, a two-time All-American at UCI, helped lead UCI to back-to-back Big West Tournament titles and two trips to the NCAA Tournament, including a trip to New York in 2008 to face St. John's in the Round of 16.
