TULSA, Okla. --- Four Anteaters competed in the 2013 Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. including sophomore Tyler Pham reaching the pre-qualifier final round.
Pham finished up in the pre-qualifier final round. He ultimately lost to Tomas Hanzlik of Penn State, 6-1, 6-3, ending an impressive run. Pham started with a 2-6, 7-5, 7-6 (4) comeback win over Aidan Talcott of Denver. Pham advanced to the third round after earning a second-round bye where he would drop No. 22 Tommy Bennett of Rice, 1-6, 6-4, 6-0.
Pham still has a chance to reach the qualifier round based on his tournament performance.
Rafael Davidian won his first round pre-qualifier, 6-1, 6-1, over Tuomas Manner of Saint Mary's before falling in the second round, 6-1, 7-6 (1), to No. 30 Facundo Lugones of TCU.
Jonathan Hammel and Ryan Cheung dropped their pre-qualifier first round matches. Hammel fell 6-1, 6-3 to Elliott Orkin of Florida while Cheung fell 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 to Justin Carter of UMBC. In consolation matches, Hammel fell again, this time to Dimitar Ristovski of Austin Peay State, 6-1, 6-1. Cheung again fell in three sets, 1-6, 6-1, 6-0, to Jasmin Ademovic of Austin Peay State.
