Anteaters Down No. 54 Aztecs 4-3

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's tennis team (4-2) defeated No. 54 San Diego State 4-3 Tuesday after being tied at 3-3 in a match that was suspended due to rain Friday afternoon in non-conference play at the Aztec Tennis Center. The match resumed Tuesday with senior Zac Tsai (Tarzana/Oaks Christian HS) winning his match against Andre Feliz in the No. 4 match 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(7-3).
Sophomore Fabian Matthews (Corona del Mar HS) defeated Giovanni Vaglietti 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 2 match. Sophomore Steven Henderson (Poway HS) downed Jakob Kowalski 2-6, 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 5 singles match. Junior Stephen Stege (Los Gatos HS) beat Luis Rattenhuber 6-3, 6-3 in No. 6 singles. The 'Eaters will open Big West Conference play Sunday, February 14th as they host UC Santa Barbara at 11:00 a.m. at Anteater Tennis Stadium. Results
