PROVO, Utah --- Top-seeded UC Irvine won its second national men's volleyball championship in the past three years with a 3-2 victory over No. 3 USC in the NCAA final at Smith Fieldhouse in Provo, Utah, Saturday.

Coach John Speraw's Anteaters rallied from a 2-1 deficit, winning the match 26-30, 30-23, 26-30, 30-17, 15-12 to avenge a 3-0 loss to the Trojans in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament semifinals April 30.

UCI, 27-5 overall, won 23 of its last 26 matches on the season. The Anteaters won all five of their five-game matches this season.

Taylor Wilson led UCI with 21 kills while Carson Clark had 15 and Jordan DuFault 14. Ryan Ammerman had 55 assists.

UCI won its first national title in 2007.
