In his fifth season with the UCI program....played in 10 games with three starts in 2008, recording 42 saves....had a high of seven saves each against Pepperdine (11/9/08) and Pomona-Pitzer (10/11/08)...was a redshirt with the UCI program in 2005....was a four-year varsity player at Salinas High School for Coach Gary Figueroa, a former Anteater All-American....was a two-time All-Tri-County Athletic League player and a Central Coast Section All-Star....served as team captain his senior year....his Salinas team reached the Central Coast Section semifinals....also competed in swimming....majoring in political science.
