In his fifth season with the Anteater program including a redshirt year in 2003....started all 31 games in 2006 and recorded 314 saves....posted a high of 16 saves against Pepperdine (10/6/07) and UC Santa Cruz (9/16/06)....made 99 saves in 14 starts for the Anteaters in 2005....had a high of 13 stops against UCLA (9/17/05)....earned All-CIF honors in water polo as a member of the CIF championship team at Servite High in 2002 for Coach Jim Sprague....was a member of the All-American medley relay at Servite.....younger brother of former Anteater player Phil Garcia....majoring in aerospace engineering....two-time Big West Scholar-Athlete....also earned Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic honors the past two years....was named to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-American Academic Team in 2006-07.
